Welcome to First Grade! I am looking forward to working with you and your child this school year. This is my 20th year of teaching.  I have had the pleasure of spending the last 18 years at Aiken Elementary. I love teaching first grade, because  reading is my passion. 

I am married to a lifelong Aiken resident and we have 4 children.  My oldest daughter graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in teaching and she and her husband have moved back to Aiken after spending 3 years in Seattle, Washington.  My 25-year old daughter is a Dental Hygienist at KitFox in Aiken. I also have a third daughter. She is enjoying her final year at the University of South Carolina. My youngest child is a boy and attends South Aiken Baptist Christian School.
