Hello Room 309 Families!  I am so excited to begin the 2022/23 school year teaching and learning with third grade students.  I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Child Development from the University of Idaho, and a Master of Arts Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of South Carolina.  I have also earned a Gifted and Talented endorsement from the University of South Carolina- Aiken.  I taught first grade at Mossy Creek Elementary for 10 years, and this is my seventh year teaching advanced third graders.  I was born in England and grew up in Mountain Home, Idaho.  I met my husband while we were counselors at a sleep away camp called Camp Emerson, located in  the Berkshire Mountains.  We have been married for 31 years and have three grown children. I  enjoy reading, embroidering, cooking, bird watching, playing Bridge, and going on bike rides. This summer my husband and I traveled through New England, stopped at the summer camp where we met and explored Acadia National Park in Maine.  I also spent my mornings swimming with the Blue Tide Master's Team, taking walks around the beautiful paths in our area and practicing yoga.
