Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year at Mossy Creek Elementary!  This is my 16th full year as a special education teacher, and my 9th year in Aiken County.  I will be working with 3rd through 5th grade students who receive services.  I have taught at the high school, middle school, and elementary school levels.  It has been fascinating to see kids and teens at the different stages in their lives, and often brings back quite a few memories.  I am so glad you share this with me!

I live in North Augusta with my husband, 2 dogs, and 5 chickens.  Our son is a product of North Augusta schools and is majoring in Chemistry at USC-Aiken.  In my spare time I like to read, swim (when it's warm), camp, and work on DIY projects around the house.  

  • This is a link to our wonderful public library here in North Augusta.  My son and I spent countless hours there as he was growing up.

  • This website contains information for parents regarding having their kids wait until 8th grade to have a smartphone.  There's a lot of research from pediatricians, psychologists, and a landmark study from the National Institute of Health.  Please check it out!!
