Hello!  Hola!  Bonjour!  Thank you so much for stopping by to learn a little bit about me!  My name is Jennifer Powell, and I am an itinerant Multilingual Learner Program Specialist.  It is my pleasure to serve the Multilingual Learners at Belvedere Elementary and Mossy Creek Elementary.   This is my 21st year teaching, and I absolutely love working with my wonderful students and awesome general education teachers on a daily basis.  

I am a product of Aiken County Public Schools and am proud to say that my entire career has been with ACPS.  I graduated from USC Aiken with a degree in Early Childhood Education.  Following that, I graduated from Lesley University with a Master's of Education degree in Elementary Education.  I also have a Master's +30 hours concentration in Elementary Reading Instruction.   I spent the first 5 years of my career teaching 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades at Aiken Elementary.  After that, I was a Reading Recovery teacher and Reading Interventionist for 6 years at J.D. Lever Elementary School.  I am now a Multilingual Learner Specialist, and I absolutely love what I do!  

Outside of school, I keep busy being very involved with my family, friends, and church.  My favorite thing to do is travel!  You can often find me at the beach or in the mountains...unless it's a Saturday in the fall.  Then, you can find me in Columbia cheering on my USC Gamecocks!
