My name is Donna Tipton and I am excited to have the job of inspiring children to question and learn about the world around us.  I believe all students can learn and there is nothing more exciting than watching that light bulb come on as a student grasps a new concept.   I have been an elementary school teacher for 19 years now at Mossy Creek.  I have a Bachelor's in Elementary Education from Augusta State University and a Masters in Diversity in Education from Southern Weslyn University.  I am the proud mother of twins, Brooke and Blake.  Blake graduated from USCA with his bachelors degree in business and Brooke graduated from Lander University with degrees in non-profit management, sociology, and religion.  She is currently living in Africa serving as a missionary for the Southern Baptist Convention for 2 years.  My husband and I are very excited that she will FINALLY be home in October.  My husband retired ten years ago after 38 years as a chemical operator and now his focus is on his golf game, wprking for the Masters, and giving me lots of expert opinions.  I enjoy spending time with my family including my adorable boykin spaniel, Drake, my 5 grandchildren and traveling to any tropical or big city destinations. I also love spending time with friends shopping, watching movies, and experimenting new places to eat.
