Mrs. Friar has been a life-long resident of Aiken County. In 2004, she was a graduate of Midland Valley High School. She received her Associates Degree in Nursing in 2009 from Aiken Technical College, and later on completed her Bachelors Degree in 2017 from Chamberlain College of Nursing.

Mrs. Friar is married and has 2 beautiful children: Branson, 10 years old, and Bailynn,  5 years old. She enjoys spending time with family and friends in her free time.

She has been a practicing nurse for 14 years now. She has worked in orthopedics, med-surg, post-surgical care, pediatrics, the progressive/intensive care unit, and as a transfusion nurse. Mrs. Friar has also trained and mentored new nurses, and educated student nurses.

She enjoys bringing her interests and stories to the Health Science classroom.
