My name is Leslie Mathews Jeffery, born and raised in Aiken County and graduated from North Augusta High school.

I attended the magnificent South Carolina State University & Cambridge College.

As I am entering my 22nd year as an educator, my philosophy hasn’t changed. I believe that all children can and deserve the opportunity to learn.

I taught at TW Josey High School & Richmond Academy High School as a Family and Consumer Teacher.

I then became a High School Counselor at Blackville-Hilda High school, South Aiken High and served as Lead Counselor at Aiken High.

Excited to transition to Aiken County Career center as a counselor, both of my passions in one job!  I am married and a proud mother of three children and two bonus children.

Hello! I am excited to be able to work with students from the various high schools across the county. My passion is to guide students as they become successful in their own rite.  One of my favorite quotes is, "Why fit in when you were born to STAND OUT!-Dr. Suess" As a member of the School Counseling office here at ACCTC, I am looking forward to guiding and advising our students as they prepare to STAND OUT, whether they choose to attend college, enter into the workforce, and/or join one of the various branches of the arm forces after high school graduation. It is essential that we equip our students with the skills and tools that they will need to STAND OUT!

I too am looking forward to collaborating and working with the faculty, staff, administrators, and other stakeholders here at ACCTC.
