Welcome to the Aiken County Fashion Design Program!
Through this program, I provide experience in the apparel and textile industries as an investment towards student career goals. Although I've lived in South Carolina for many years, my education, former teaching positions, and custom sewing business evolved in the New York/New Jersey area. My husband and I moved to Aiken County to enjoy a slower pace of life while continuing to develop professionally. Those details are listed in the tab to the left.
Throughout my life I have been intrigued by the design and construction of apparel and other textile products. As it has been said, "that getting a job doing something you enjoy means you will never work a day in your life", my classes are a natural extension of my interests and skills. With my personal and occasional business projects, I continue to pursue the excitement of creating solutions to meet identified needs. This includes my goal to encourage others to visualize and follow their unique path to a rewarding future - in this field, or any another.
