Hello. My name is Kortney Garrett and I am the Cosmetology I and Nail Technology instructor at the Aiken County Career and Technology Center. I've been teaching at the Career Center since 2008. I received my cosmetology license while attending Midland Valley High School and the Aiken County Career Center in 2004. I've worked in the nail technology industry for 18 years and I also earned my cosmetology instructor license from Aiken School of Cosmetology in 2007. I received my Bachelors of Professional Cosmetology degree from the National Beauty Culturist League Inc. in 2014. I am also a licensed cosmetologist and cosmetology instructor in the state of Georgia. I was awarded Teacher of the Year for the Career Center in 2013-2014, 2018-2019, and 2022-2023. Teaching career and technology education is truly a passion that I enjoy fulfilling each day. In my spare time I enjoy watching movies, cooking, drawing, decorating, and spending time with my family. I look forward to an exciting and successful school year.
