Cosmetology I and Nail Technology

This class is a one-year program offered to students of Aiken County's Public School District. It teaches students the theory and science of nail technology through real life hands-on experiences and academic bookwork. Students will learn manicures, pedicures, polishing, gel polish, artificial nail enhancement, microbiology, anatomy, chemistry, professionalism, life skills, and so much more in the course of study. With the correct attendance, discipline, and prescribed number of hours, nail tech students are eligible to earn their SC Board of Cosmetology Nail Technician license. Cosmetology I students will be advanced to the cosmetology 2 program after successful promotion of attending this course.
