Mrs. Lynn Sawyer
I am so excited about beginning my 28th year of teaching with your children. I am looking forward to working with you and helping your children reach their fullest potential this year. I am living my dream each and every day that I am allowed to come to school to make a positive difference in the world we live in, both now and in the future.
I started my teaching career in 1994 after graduating from Columbia College with a degree in Elementary Education. I earned a masters degree in Divergent Learning from Columbia College in 2001. I completed another masters degree in Administration and Supervision in 2017. I added Early Childhood certification to my certificate in 2021 and Gifted and Talented endorsement in 2017. I have taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 6th grades as well as served as a math coach and interventionist. I have also served as a reading interventionist.
In my free time, I love to spend time with my family. We enjoy church activities, cooking, traveling and playing games together. We are a blended family. We have 4 children. Three of them are grown and gone. They live in Michigan, Florida and North Carolina. We have one high schooler still at home.
