Ms. Alicia Bush

Hello,

My name is Alicia Bush. I am your School Counselor. I was born and raised here in the Wagener-Salley area. I also walked the halls of Busbee Elementary, A.L Corbett Middle, and Wagener-Salley High. I graduated from Wagener-Salley High. I continued my education at Claflin University of Orangeburg, SC, where I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology. While at Claflin University, I worked as a Counselor for the Trio Program. I furthered my education at South Carolina State University of Orangeburg, SC and earned my Master’s Degree in Counselor Education. I have been in Education for over 11 years now. It is such an honor to be back at my roots to help serve the students of this great community.

As your School Counselor, I will teach social/emotional and career lessons, offer small group and individual counseling to students who need support, and help families connect to needed services. My goal is to provide education, prevention, early identification and intervention to ensure students achieve academic success, develop an understanding of career opportunities and develop social/emotional skills in response to issues they face. My goal is to also make myself available and resourceful to our parents, students, and teachers.

Handle with Care

If your family is experiencing difficulties at home, I would like to provide some additional support at school. I understand you may not always be able to provide details, and that’s OK. If your child is coming to school after a difficult morning, night, or weekend, please email me “Handle with Care”. I will make it a priority to check in on them.
