Cosmetology 2 is a program offered to Junior students of Aiken County's Public School District upon completion of COS I. It teaches students the theory and science of hair, skin, and nails through real life-hands-on experiences and academic bookwork. Students will learn professionalism, chemistry, manicures, pedicures, hairstyling, properties of the hair and scalp, microbiology, anatomy, chemistry, life skills, communication, and so much more during theory. With the correct attendance, discipline, and prescribed number of hours, cosmetology students are eligible to earn their SC Cosmetology License in COS 3 during their senior year. While in COS 3, students gain skills needed for the work industry that would include but not limited to professionalism, product knowledge, and, of course, safety & sanitation, according to the SC State Board rules and regulations.
