There is an old saying that says "sheep begetteth sheep," meaning that the best recruiter is someone that is already involved with the process. We are MADD enough to incorporate that saying in our recruiting process. Thank you to Gwyn Butler and Sam Schreiber for helping to appeal to the next generation of architects and engineers. WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU!!!

Near the end of the second rollercoaster competition held between two groups in each MADD rotation, We have a group that have successfully constructed and operated a kinex rollercoaster set by reading and understanding the assembly drawings that are included with the kinex set. This competition encourages students to gain a fundamental understanding of engineering components.

During the 2019-2020 school year, the Mechanical/Architectural Drafting and Design (MADD) program at the Aiken County Career and Technology Center (ACCTC) has renewed its registration with the Skills USA South Carolina chapter. With the renewal of registration, six (6) students have joined with ambitions of competing in areas of Architectural Drafting, 3-D visualization, Technical Drafting or Engineering Technology competitions. Our MADD Scientists are all capable of competing on a high level in any of the topics that they choose. Since Skills USA has gone MADD, the MADD program of ACCTC asks all supporters to rally behind our students not only for ACCTC's sake, Ï㽶ӰÊÓ's sake, but most importantly for the sake of our students that work so diligently in our schools. As far as our students that have not reached the grade level to join a program at the Aiken County Career and Technology Center, don't forget to go MADD when you do arrive. It's a great time to be a MADD Scientist!!!!!!

The 2019/2020 Mechanical/Architectural Drafting and Design class would like to introduce everyone to MADD Maxx the Bobcat. Maxx is the new mascot of our course, created and voted on by the MADD 1 students. Maxx is always prepared, note the booksack equipped with a T-Square, always has a positive attitude towards his work and a healthy respect towards others and his equipment. Not only will Maxx provide an identity to the students of our course, but he will also leave a lasting impression with everyone that gets acquainted with our course and our students.
