Welding Technology

  • Students interested in the Welding Technology Program must apply in the 9th grade. Students learn skills, procedures, and processes involved in welding while preparing for the American Welding Society entry level welder certification.

    Certifications are: AWS entry Level Welder, TAP credit can be awarded for up to 8 ATC courses.

Welding Technology Courses

  • Welding I (63400CW- 1 credit)

    PREREQUISITES: Algebra 1 or Foundations of Alg. 1 and Int. Alg., and GPA 2.0 or higher

    Welding II (634100CD- 2 credits)

    PREREQUISITES: Welding I (min grade 80), Teacher Recommendation, GPA 2.0+ in English, Math and Science

    Welding III (634200CD- 2 credits)

    PREREQUISITES: Welding I (min grade 80), Teacher Recommendation, GPA 2.0+ in English, Math and Science
