Mr. Forston is a native of Kentucky. A graduate of Lafayette High School, he went on to complete Bachelor of Music Education and Master of Music Education degrees at the University of South Carolina, Columbia. 

Mr. Forston is active as an adjudicator, clinician, arranger, and performer. His professional memberships include the Music Educators National Conference, the South Carolina Band Directors Association, and the Aiken County Band Directors Association..
