Mrs. Wanda Lanel Williams
Hello. I am Lanel Williams. This is my fourth year in Aiken County and I am super excited to learn and grow with my students. Each day is a learning experience for everyone of all ages.
I attended Augusta University where I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Interrelated Education and a Master’s Degree in Adaptive Curriculum. I served in a classroom for 31 years in a neighboring county where I was elected 2019-2020 teacher of the year at Hephzibah Middle School in Hephzibah, GA. I am joyfully married to my amazing husband, Sammy. I enjoy church and being with family and friends. I also enjoy camping and looking for shark teeth and shells on the beach.
I appreciate watching my students grow academically as well as socially. Each student in my class will be presented with appropriate content to develop problem-solving skills for independence and learning. In order for my students to learn, I must first appreciate and respect them as individuals, while understanding their differences.
Every school year holds unique challenges that are new to everyone. I know that together we will progress and embrace the importance of being life-long learners as we demonstrate respect and understanding for each other’s perspectives and values. Collectively we will have an amazing school year full of safe practices, smiles, growth and learning.
