Welcome to my website! My name is Matthew Kennamer and I teach 7th grade Social Studies. I am a graduate of Clemson University where I majored in Secondary Education: Social Studies. I am also a graduate of Arkansas State University where I received a Graduate degree in Curriculum and Instruction and am currently entering my 10th year of teaching at Kennedy Middle School. I hope that my class will excite all students about Geography through the use of hands-on activities, instruct them to effectively use technology, and demonstrate how to think critically, problem solve and collaborate with others.

Personal Information:
I am an avid Clemson fan and enjoy spending Saturdays attending football games. I currently live in North Augusta with my lovely wife Megan and our frisky cat Dexter. Hobbies that I enjoy besides teaching include golf, tennis, cooking, and playing the guitar/bass.
Educational Philosophy:
I believe that education is not just about books and taking notes, but it is also about life lessons. I teach to prepare young people to become productive citizens and to be positive role models in our society.
