Career

Colonel Davis hails from Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Colonel Davis is a graduate of North Carolina Central University, a distinguished graduate of Duke University Navy ROTC Unit, and earned a Master's degree in Military Studies from the Marine Corps University.  He served on active duty for 26 years and retired in 2006 from the United States Marine Corps. This year will be his fifteenth teaching  Navy JROTC. He is presently the Senior Naval Science Instructor at South Aiken High School. He taught from 1990 to 1993 at the Military College of South Carolina (The Citadel). His final active duty assignment was as the Deputy Commander/Chief of Staff of the Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command in Honolulu, Hawaii.  After retirement from the Marine Corps in 2006, he began teaching at Summerville High School until January 2013 and Conway High School from January 2013 until June 2016.

Personal

Colonel Davis has a son (Rusty) and a daughter (Amanda). Additionally, he is an Eagle Scout and has been in Scouting for over 50 years.
