Welcome! I am very excited for this upcoming semester!

I am a native of North Augusta but moved to Aiken several years ago when I started at South Aiken. I have previously taught English 3, English 2, and Secondary Literacy. I've also been working to develop a Journalism class, and highly encourage you (or your student) to apply for the class! 

I earned my degree in English from Winthrop University and my Master's in Education from Clemson University. I also have my certification for AP Language and Composition and was named to the District Honor Court during my first year of teaching. 

I love Young Adult literature, iced coffee, and true-crime podcasts! Outside of the classroom, you will find me spending time with friends and family, traveling, gardening, and trying out new restaurants. I rescued a precious pup two years ago (she is 8 years old), and recently added a little sister to mix! When it comes to teaching, my priority is the students - I teach because I love it!
