Miss Lucy Nelson
Welcome. I am Lucy Nelson, and I look forward to beginning my 12th year as an English teacher at South Aiken High School.
I earned my B.A. in English and my second B.A. in Secondary Education from Lander University. I earned my M.Ed. with an endorsement in Literacy K-12 from Walden University. I am a certified Read to Succeed Teacher and Secondary English teacher in the state of South Carolina.
I spent this summer relaxing and enjoying time with my family. I have an 18-year-old son, Antwaun, who currently lives in Georgetown, SC. I also have a 17-year-old son, Austin, who attends South Aiken High School and plans to pursue a career in barbering and genetics. Lastly, my 4-year-old princess is currently a student at Jazzy's Little Treasures in North Augusta, SC, where she enjoys ballet and hip-hop dance classes at the Vault in Augusta, GA. We all enjoy reading, music, and food.
My favorite colors are black and pink. My favorite movie is My Best Friend's Wedding! The best book ever published is Pride and Prejudice and my favorite poem is Mother to Son!
I look forward to working with all my new students during the 2023-2024 school year!
