Ms. Mary Blanchard

I began my teaching career in 1996 while I was completing my Masters Program.  I taught English as a Second Language to foreign business executives at a private language institute located in south Georgia.  After receiving my M. Ed. in French, I moved back to my hometown of Augusta, Georgia to teach French in Richmond County and then McDuffie County.  I am very pleased to be teaching in South Carolina and part of the South Aiken High team!

Other items on my resume include serving on the staff of a United States Congressman from Georgia in Washington, D.C. and working as the Office Manager for a local Chamber of Commerce.  I also served as the assistant to the English teachers at a French High School, L'Institution Saint-Louis, located in Saumur, France.

I am a member of the Rho Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Association for Women Educators, Alumna of the Zeta Zi Chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority, member of the American Association of Teachers of French and a former member of the Junior League of Augusta.  I hold a Masters level teaching certificate for French in the states of Georgia and South Carolina.

In January 2014 I was named Teacher of the Month by the principal and administration of Lucy Laney High School.

I welcome my students to come see me during the SECOND half of WIN time to answer any questions!
