Dear Parents/Guardians,
Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! My name is Jimmy Howard and I will be teaching your High School Students Accounting I, II and Finance class this year. I am so excited about getting the chance to work with each of you this year. I earned my MBA from Southern Wesleyan University and this will be my fifth-year teaching, and my third at South Aiken. I have been married to my beautiful wife Amy for 29 years and have been blessed with three wonderful children, two boys, Jack (22), Daniel (17), and one girl, Carylann (13). I am originally from Kentucky and have lived in Aiken, SC for almost 17 years. I served in the US Navy for four years and have over 30 years of business experience in both profit and non-profit organizations, primarily in an executive position. I am an avid sports fan and have coached multiple sports for over 20 years.
My desire is to create a positive stress-free working environment so we can prepare our students for the next step in their educational process. My goal is to allow my experience to be a conduit for our students to help bring our material to life by connecting them to "Real World Connections" and we will utilize technology to accomplish this.
