Hello,

I am very proud to be a part of the Kennedy Middle School team for the 2023/2024 school year!

This is my ninth year teaching and my fourth year teaching in the Ï㽶ӰÊÓ. I have taught English and Drama in both middle and high school in California. I was the founder and creative director of a community theatre company and have a great love of the performing arts.

As your students will know, I am a storyteller and I have a passion for bringing the text alive. Literature provides the greatest connection to being human and understanding the world around us. I love sharing my passion for lifelong learning and preparing my students with the knowledge and skills needed to be an effective communicator to achieve academic success.

In my classroom, I work hard to promote a positive learning community that encourages risk-taking thinking, respect, trust, and a sense of ownership among students. I truly understand the enormity of my job and I relish the responsibility and the rewards. I also believe that parents, teachers and students must work as a team to achieve the highest potential of success for our students. I expect ALL students to put in the maximum effort necessary to succeed.
