Ms. Kim Aycock

My name is Kim Aycock, and I'm thrilled to be working with your child at KMS this year. I am a Special Education teacher, have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Special Education, and this is my 13th year of teaching. I am highly qualified to teach grades K-12 with a multi-categorical classification. This year I will be teaching Learning Strategies and co-teaching math for seventh and eighth grades. I am also the department head for Special Education at KMS.

I can be contacted via email at kaycock@acpsd.net, which is the best method of contact for me. My Google voice number is 803-716-8659 where I can receive texts and calls, or you can call me at KMS at 803-641-2470.

To provide you with some background, I have worked for Aiken County in the Department of Special Programs since 2004. From 2004-2010, I worked in the Autism Program as a lead therapist for both Applied Behavior Therapy (ABT) and Social Behavior Therapy (SBT). In May 2010, I graduated from USC Aiken with a degree in Special Education. This is my 13th year teaching Special Education in Aiken County. I have taught students with moderate disabilities, severe disabilities, mild disabilities, as well as students with a variety of disabilities within the resource and inclusion settings. I believe that all students are unique, special, and capable of learning. All students, regardless of disability, talent, or attitude, should be treated with respect and be allowed to participate in events and activities to the best of their abilities.

I was born in Buckhannon, WV but grew up in Myrtle Beach, SC. I currently live in Aiken, SC with my husband, daughter, two dogs, one cat, and one guinea pig. I am also a HUGE Georgia Bulldogs fan!
