2017-2018 Giving Even More (GEM) Recipient; District Finalist for 2017-2018 GEM Award.

Mr. Drew Sapp

I've worked at J.D. Lever since 2013, after leaving the retail field as a Loss Prevention District Manager where I worked for 22 years.
I was born and raised in Augusta, Georgia where I attended Augusta College.

I am married to my lovely wife Jennifer and I am the proud father of four sons. We moved to Aiken and the Lever Community in 2000.

I am one of the Coaches for our Running Club and remember...When we run, we Roar!

I love working at Lever and with our kids.
In my spare time, I love spending time with my family, reading and playing the drums. I am also a Georgia Bulldog Fan.

Go Dawgs!

JDLE Teacher of the Year 2018-2019

Ms. Louise Dent

I am a native of Beech Island, S.C. and a graduate from Silver Bluff High School.  I continued to further my education at Clemson University, where I received a degree in Industrial Education. I was also a part of the Lady Tigers Basketball Team. Later, I was also given the opportunity to play pro basketball in the European Women's Basketball League.

After returning back to the states, I continued to stay in education and was hired at A. Dorothy Hines in Augusta, Georgia for several years before going back to teach/coach at my alma mater Silver Bluff High School. During that time, I was persuaded to further my education.

I attended the Masters program at Troy State University where I received a Masters of Education in Psychology, but I still felt that I was missing something. I then went on to receive my Global Career Development Facilitator certificate (GCDF), which has given me the opportunity to teach careers. I returned back to school receiving a second Masters of Education in Counseling.

Ms. Ashley Kissiah

Hi! My name is Nikki Kissiah and I am excited to be a new member of the J.D. Lever family as your school nurse. This year is my 8th year with ACPSD and I can’t wait to take care of your kiddos here at Lever! My husband and I have two amazing children and we are all HUGE Gamecock fans! Go COCKS!!!

I attended USCA and obtained my undergraduate degree in Psychology in 2003. I went back to USCA and obtained my BSN in 2014. I worked on a cardiac/stroke unit before becoming a school nurse and I have loved every minute of it. In 2020, I was awarded the GEM award (Giving Even More) and I strive to maintain that sense of giving and nurturing when taking care of your children at school each day.

Please don’t hesitate to call or email me at akissiah@acpsd.net with any questions or concerns. I look forward to keeping your littles healthy this year!

Mrs. Nicole Mercer

Hello! My name is Nicole Mercer, and I joined the J.D. Lever family in January of this year. I was born and raised just outside of Cleveland, Ohio (Go Bucks and Go Browns!). I moved to Aiken in the spring of 2021 with my husband, after we decided we wanted to leave the snow and cold weather behind. We've loved living out in the country and getting acquainted with everything this wonderful community has to offer. I received my bachelor's degree in Psychology in 2018 and am currently earning my master's degree in School Counseling. I hope to stay with Aiken County schools for many years to come.

Outside of work I enjoy reading, traveling, crocheting, and spending time with my husband, our dog Lucy, and my church family. This summer I will be traveling for most of the month of June; to a conference in Indiana, to Ohio to visit family, and to Florida. I am looking forward to the 22-23 school year and am excited to experience my first full year at J.D. Lever!
