The 7th Grade Mathematics Course delivers a viable curriculum and prepares students for their 8th Grade Mathematics Course. This course is designed to engage students as well as deepen and extend their understanding of operations with rational numbers, expressions, equations, inequalities, analyzing and solving proportional relationships, circle concepts, three-dimensional figure concepts, data analysis, and probability. The Standards for Mathematical Processes apply throughout the course and together with the content standards prescribe that students experience mathematics as a coherent, useful, and logical subject that makes use of their ability to make sense of problem situations.
