Homework Policy

• Students have homework Monday-Thursday. All homework is kept in their Blue folder. Please return this folder daily along with your child's agenda. 
  • Reading: Each night, students read a different story. Listen to your child read the story, discuss using comprehension questions.
  • Vocabulary: Practice high-frequency words listed on the homework sheet nightly. These words make up about 90% of written text, so knowing them allows your growing reader to devote his/her energy to attacking trickier words! 
  • Spelling: Complete the spelling activity in the folder. Activities will change every nine weeks. 

Boomerang/Graded Paper Folders

• The yellow folders that are sent home every Thursday contain graded papers, important notices from school, and your child's updated progress report. Please check the folder every Thursday and sign and return all papers on the "Return to School" side. 

Classroom Supplies

Our classroom could always use donations of disinfectant wipes, tissues, crayons, and pencils.
