Welcome to music!
This is my eleventh year in education, and my second year at Hammond Hill Elementary. Before joining the HHE faculty, I taught high school music appreciation at a public virtual school. Prior to that, I taught orchestra at a fine arts magnet school serving grades 5-8. My primary instrument is the violin; I have played for over twenty years. I look forward to bringing Sonny, my violin, to visit all the wonderful students at HHE.
I am happily married to Daryl, a supervisor at Plant Vogtle. We have two daughters, Vera and Clara, both of whom attend HHE. Our family has one pet, a fat, lazy cat named O'Malley. He spends his days napping and hunting for lizards.
Outside of school, my hobbies include cooking and baking for my friends, gardening (but I despise picking weeds), and unwinding at home. As a family, we enjoy camping, television and movie marathons (Bluey and the Harry Potter series are favorites), and participating in our local Girl Scout troop.
