BA-Learning Disabilities MA-Varying Exceptionalities

Mrs. Uyen Griffis

Welcome to Hammond Hill Elementary School! My name is Uyen Griffis, and I have the great pleasure of teaching children in the Early Learning Special Needs classroom. This year marks my 24th year as a special needs teacher in Aiken County. I've been so blessed to work with so many beautiful and talented children with varying exceptionalities from 3-6 years of age. Most importantly, I've been fortunate to collaborate with an incredible team of experts to include Ms. Sandra Ramirez and Ms. Amanda Scroggs (para-professional aides), general education teachers here at HHE, Mrs. Tara Waldhauer (Occupational Therapist), Mrs. Sarah Coker (Physical-therapist), Ms. Truie Gibson/Ms/ Megan Maxwell (Speech Pathologists), Mrs. Tammie Alan (Vision Specialist), Christina Stader (Assistive Technology Team), and all the wonderful autism support aides (Ms. Kathlean) in this amazing field of special education.  Feel free to come visit our classroom if you're in the neighborhood...we would LOVE to have you!
