Welcome to my webpage and thank you for visiting! My name is Meredith Leopard and I am the art teacher at Hammond Hill Elementary. I am starting my 21st year of art education. I achieved my Bachelors in Fine Arts from the University of South Carolina -Aiken and my Masters of Art in Teaching from Lander University in Greenwood. I taught an education class at USCA for about 5 years on integrating the arts into the elementary curriculum. I am passionate about the arts and feel that they play a vital role in helping students succeed in ALL subject areas. My lessons will always include one or more of the core subjects along with cultural enrichment. On a personal note, I am married and have two step daughters.  I enjoy going on fishing trips with my Dad and Husband, and especially love the mountains! I love being outside, especially riding my motorcycle or going to the lake. We have several rescue pets. Our two dogs, Sawyer and Finn and three cats, Murray, Norman, and Toby. I am constantly creating art at home on my own time and enjoy drawing pet portraits and also making dragon sculptures. As always, I am looking forward to a productive and fun year with these students filled with new adventures and learning experiences!
