Book Check-out for Students

Kindergarten and first grade students may check out one book each week; second through fifth grade students may check out two books at a time. Kindergarten students will keep their books in their classroom.Books are due in one week. First graders may check out two books per week after proving themselves responsible via a system the librarian will explain to them. Students may renew their books, but they must have their books with them in order to renew them.

If a student has an overdue book, he/she may not check out another book if the overdue book has been overdue for three weeks or more. Also, if a student is responsible for a lost or damaged book, he/she may not check out another book until the total replacement cost of the lost/damaged book is paid.

Payment for Lost and Damaged Books

If an item is lost or damaged, the library media specialist will send home a bill for payment for the item.  Please send monies received for lost/damaged materials to the media center as soon as possible upon receipt.
