I have been an Aiken County Media Specialist for over twelve years! I worked at Belvedere Elementary for eleven of those years. I am very excited to be in my second year at LMMS and continue to work with the students, staff and the community! As a librarian, I strive to provide a welcoming place for students and staff to find books, resources, and materials that will support the curriculum, promote a love of reading and inspire lifelong learning.

While I received my Masters in Library and Information Science from the University of South Carolina, my undergraduate degree and heart belong to Clemson University.  Go Tigers!!

On a personal note, I am married with three boys, 31, 24, and 19.  I have two beautiful grandchildren and an amazing daughter-in-law too! My oldest and his family live in Knoxville, TN. My middle son graduated from Clemson and is pursuing graduate studies at the University of Maryland. Last, but not least, my youngest son attends the College of Charleston and is pursuing his dream of becoming a writer!

Mrs. Thompson is a graduate of the Leavelle McCampbell High School Class of 1979. She has an Associate Degree in Religious Education from Covington Theological Seminary. She loves spending time with her family and serving our community. Miss Thompson is an active member of our PTO. Go Rocks!
