Recently, Aiken and South Aiken High Schools conducted a blood drive challenge. The event was part of the rivalry week festivities leading up to the annual football game. The Navy JROTC units at Aiken and south Aiken sponsored the challenges at their respective schools. As a result of the drive, 64 units of blood were collected and will potentially benefit over 190 patients. The blood challenge champion for this year is Aiken High School, but the real winner is the City of Aiken and the surrounding area.
