I have had the honor of serving as an educator in Aiken County for a span of 14 years. My educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in English Education and English Literature, as well as a Masters of Science in Education with a specialized focus on Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment. In pursuit of further academic expertise, I successfully obtained a Ph.D. in Language and Literacy with a cognate emphasizing diversity.
Furthermore, I am privileged to serve as a mentor for the Next Generation Youth Activist Organization in Aiken, contributing to the growth and empowerment of young minds.
Within the school community, I proudly sponsor the Aiken High Beta Club, engaging in endeavors to promote academic excellence and personal development among students. Moreover, my passion for both literature and academia has led me to publish poetry, academic journal articles, and chapters in educational books.
As an educator, I firmly believe that providing a welcoming, safe, and respectful learning environment is pivotal to the optimal development of students of all ages. It is my earnest aspiration to facilitate the academic and personal growth of my students, empowering them to thrive both scholastically and as individuals.
