Hello parents and students,

My name is Brandi Davenport! It feels great to be back at the hornets' nest for the 2023-24 school year. I am an alumni of Aiken High School. I graduated in 1998. I received my bachelors degree in Sociology from the University of South Carolina- Aiken in 2011. I worked for ACPSD as a special education paraeducator at NEMS for five years. I graduated from Grand Canyon University with a Masters in Special Education:Cross-Categorical in 2016. Over the last seven years here at AHS, I've taught Learning Strategies, Employability Education I-II, Essentials of English I-IV and Essentials of Math I-IV to students enrolled in the CDOC(Career Development and Occupational Credential) and/or our newest program, the SCHSC(South Carolina High School Credential). Students can obtain the SCHSC credential, ACPSD district credential or a Certificate of Attendance.

I am pleased to be working with your child. I will use every opportunity to ensure that they are in a safe, engaging learning environment.

My planning period is during the fourth block and that time correlates from 2:12 to 3:30.

I will respond to all messages/emails/calls within a 24-hour period.

Students use IXL. The link to get on that site is and the password for everyone hornets. The students have skills that are assigned to them by me on this site. They can work on this site at home. The website has to be entered in the way I have it so they can have access.

We will also be using Acheive 3000 for all Essentials of English classes I-IV. The link is
