¡Viva el español!
The Spanish Club at Aiken High School is a club for students who want to have more cultural experiences in Spanish, outside of the classroom.
The activities are decided upon by the current group members, and approved by the sponsors. Membership is open to current students taking Spanish, as well as former students of Spanish, and to students who display an interest in Spanish culture and language.

2022 Activities:
- played Lotería for Spanish prizes
- decorated calaveras for El día de los muertos and drank Mexican hot chocolate

2020-2021 Activities:
- Virtual meeting (we tried the drink Horchata, making it at home and meeting in Microsoft Teams to discuss it)
- After school split meeting- making Papel Picado (Navidad)
- After school split meeting - playing a card game from Spain
Previous Activities:
- Hornet Holiday Market booth participation (we made Christmas cards in Spanish, and filled/decorated treat bags with Mexican candy)
- Flamenco presentation
