Mrs. Hamrick completed her Masters degree in Educational Leadership & Policy Studies with the University of Texas at Arlington. She also earned her Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in Theater from the University of South Carolina at Aiken.
Mrs. Alisa Hamrick
I am honored to be the principal of Aiken High School! I started my teaching career as an English and Theater teacher at Blackville-Hilda High School, and I eventually made it back to my alma mater, South Aiken High School, teaching English. After 4 years of teaching, I transitioned to assistant principal at Aiken High. This is my 9th year as a Hornet, and I can honestly say that I bleed green and gold. This is such a special place to work. The faculty, staff, and students make every day an adventure,and they continually amaze me. I am committed to building a school culture that is safe and supportive with high standards of excellence.
At Aiken High we are a family. We help each other to be the best versions of ourselves. We communicate our expectations appropriately and hold each other accountable. We respect one another, even when we do not agree. We all take responsibility for keeping our Hornet family safe. And we value our education because it is a possession that no one can take away from us.
