My name is James Gaiters Jr. This is my first year teaching here at Aiken High. I will be Co-teaching Algebra I, Learning Strategies and I am the Emotional Disability/Self-contained case manager and instructor for Special Education, here at Aiken High. I have been in education for 23 years. I served as a paraprofessional at Leavelle McCampbell, and the Center for Innovative Learning (CIL). I was an In-school Suspension Supervisor For Leavell McCampbell. I have been a certified teacher since 2018. At Aiken Middle, I taught the ED/Self-contained class. I also taught the Special Education multi-cat classes at CIL, and I was the Learning strategies and Aiken Innovate (AI) instructor at Schofield Middle School.

My education includes Associate and Bachelor Degrees in Business Science Management and a Masters Degree in Special Education Multi Categorical k-12. 

Educating as a high school teacher is a new venture for me and I am very excited about exploring this new experience. I am looking forward to working with the students and helping them to develop into model citizens. 

I love being an emptynester. My wife and I absolutely love taking trips to the mountains and spending time with our grandchildren.
