Hello!

I am teaching English 3 and Broadcasting/Journalism this year at Aiken High. I am an alumna from Clemson University, where I earned a B.A. in English Literature. This is my fifth year of teaching, second year at Aiken High. As an avid reader, teaching English is the perfect career for me because I get to nerd out about books and words every day. Most of all, I love teaching English because prose, poetry, and writing connect all of us to each other. Our stories matter and I'm here to listen, encourage, and nurture every student and their unique stories.

In my free time you will find me playing roller derby for the Soul City Sirens in Augusta, sitting in the sun with a good book, or taking care of my furbabies. I am also the lead teacher for student trips to Orvieto, Italy with Partners in Friendship of Aiken. I also moderate and help students run the Video Game Club and Asian American and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) Club here at school.

I utilize Remind for class alerts on homework, tests, quizzes, and important dates. I am more than happy to receive any questions or concerns about your student(s) by email, phone, or Remind.
