Hello! My name is Anne Sidey and I am excited to be working at Aiken High School! This will be my 2nd year at AHS and my 7th year working for Aiken County Public Schools. My background includes spending 22 years in the classroom and 11 years in the library. I enjoy spending time with my husband, Kim, and our two dog-dren! My hobbies include reading, running, and cooking!
It is my goal to use my classroom teaching experience and love of reading in the Library Media Center to engage all of our students in the use of technology and the importance of developing a love of reading. Hello! This is my first year at Aiken High School, but I was previously a Media Specialist at North Augusta High for 17 years - from a Yellow Jacket to a Hornet! (I've also kept bees, so it seems I have a thing for stinging insects!) In my previous life, I was a high school English teacher for 14 years, so I have lots of experience helping students with research and writing. I love reading, traveling and independent films. On the weekends, you can find me hanging out with my husband and our three doggos.
