Hello! 

Welcome to Aiken High! I am so excited to be part of the "Fighting Green Hornets" faculty.  In my 25 years as an educator, and 15 years working in the business sector, I've had the privilege of working with students, parents, and adults in a variety of settings.  I have a passion for travel and entertaining, which is why I am thrilled to be teaching the Intro to Hospitality and Tourism class. By studying Hospitality and Tourism, students position themselves right in the very center of service. They will learn skills that are transferable to many other industries and will be exposed to the global opportunities. Being a service and people-oriented industry, it is also one of those that needs kind, fun-loving, and creative people in the future. My goal is to create academically engaging learning experiences through an environment that fosters creativity, curiosity, and innovative ideas.  I am committed to sharing my passion for learning and keeping up with current trends. 

I grew up in Indiana near Chicago but have lived in California, Arizona, Georgia and now South Carolina. My husband and I have been here in Aiken since 2018.  We have four children who I affectionately like to say are "grown, flown, and on their own".  At home, our 2 big dogs, Charlie and Snookie, keep us company.  We love to travel, go to concerts and festivals,  and try new foods, either dining out at one of the many great local restaurants or trying out new recipes at home.  We also have a love of sports - especially tennis! When not at school, you'll most likely find me on the tennis courts!
