Hi Byrdies! My name is Grayson Kern and this is my second year teaching! I am a native of Aiken, SC and I graduated from Silver Bluff High School. For my bachelor’s degree, I graduated from Clemson University with a major in Psychology and a minor in Education. I received my graduate degree from Liberty University in Elementary Education and quickly decided Byrd Elementary was the best place for me!

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, doing anything from going to Disney World to shopping for old southern antiques. I’ve been a member of Heights Church in Clearwater, SC for around 14 years and I love getting to spend every Sunday morning with my church family followed by Sunday dinner with my extended family in Barnwell.

Being a teacher has always been my dream and I am thrilled to follow in the footsteps of so many wonderful educators that have gone before me. I am so excited for this school year to begin and hope above all that your child feels loved and safe each day that they step in my classroom.
