Hello!
Welcome to music at Byrd Elementary. I love music and am looking forward to sharing that love of music with my students at Byrd! I have taught music for over 20 years in PA, WV, NC and SC to grades K-12. I also have served as a church pianist and music director in many of those states. I am currently the music director at Trinity United Methodist Church in Aiken.
We will be making a lot of music together using boomwhackers, drums, xylophones, small percussion instruments, and ukuleles! We will continue to use Quaver Ed as our online music platform. Now that all students in grades K-5 have access to 1/1 devices, we will be able to do a lot of online activites from Quaver during our music time! Students will also be able to create accounts in Quaver that allow them to continue the learning outside of the music room.!
