IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Early arrivals and early dismissal

Morning Duty will be in the First Grade Classrooms each morning.  Your child will be dismissed each day at 2:30 from the main building.  Any student needing to leave earlier must be dismissed through the office. 

***ATTENTION – Please note that when your child will be going home a different way than usual, I MUST have a written note.

Parties

Our class has two special class parties during the school year (Winter Celebration and End of the Year).  Birthdays may be celebrated by the “Birthday Child” bringing cupcakes to school to be shared with all classmates.  These cupcakes/ cookies must be store-bought.  We are not allowed to offer homemade treats to the students.  Please send in the cupcakes with your child in the morning so we can share the cupcakes during our lunch time.   If you wish to send in birthday invitations – one must be sent for every student in the class.  I cannot send home invitations to just a few children.

**Note: If for any reason your child cannot celebrate or take part in a specific holiday/ activity please let me know as soon as possible.

Lunches

     If you choose to send lunch with your child, please send things that do not need to be heated.  We do not have enough time to heat lunches for students and they cannot heat lunch by themselves due to the risk of burns.  Also, please teach your child how to open items in their lunch box.
