¡Hola!

My name is Kelly Malyszek, and I am pleased to be teaching Spanish 1, 2 (IGCSE) and 3 (IGCSE) this 2023-24 school year. Please feel free to reach out at any time if you need support or help from me. Here is a bit of background information about me, and I am looking forward to meeting you, or seeing you again, if you are a former student! 

I was raised in Connecticut, and atttended Clemson University, where I received a BA in Secondary Education - History in 1993.   Thanks to the encouragement of a former AHS administrator, I went back to Clemson and received my certification in Spanish, and have been mainly teaching Spanish for the past twenty years.  I have three children, two who are graduates from Aiken High School, and we have a crazy dog named Wilson.  When not busy with teacher tasks, I enjoy reading, gardening, watching my kids and students play sports, and watching Clemson football!  I also love travel and history! 

This year I will be teaching one Spanish 1 class, three Spanish 2 classes, and two Spanish 3 Honors classes.  It is my intention to give you the best preparation possible for you to achieve success and have confidence at your current level, and to get you ready for the next level.  If you do not plan to continue your Spanish studies after this course, I hope that you will find what you learn this year to be useful in your life, either in a career or in your personal life.
