You can expect your child to learn the basics of art.  

They will learn about the elements of art:  

line, color, shape, form, texture, value and space 

the principles of design: 

balance, proportion, emphasis, variety, unity, pattern and movement  

and how they work together.  

They will explore a variety of materials and discover that art is a subject that overlaps all areas of their education. Visual art is an integral portion of a child's education.
