AICE Thinking Skills AS

  • AICE Thinking Skills AS and A are separate courses in critical thinking and problem solving. Both courses are part of the Cambridge Assessment International Education curriculum and require students to take two papers (exams) per course. Thinking Skills AS is a prerequisite for Thinking Skills A.

The testing dates in October 2023 are

    • Paper 1 (for AS-level students): The afternoon of Tuesday, October 3,
    • Paper 2 (for AS-level students): The afternoon of Friday, October 6,
    • Paper 3 (for A-level students): The afternoon of Friday, October 13, and
    • Paper 4 (for A-level students): The afternoon of Thursday, October 26.

Note that most of these dates are during our fall break. I am not certain how testing will be managed or if it can be adjusted. I will update this page as soon as I know.

All plans and lessons are posted in OneNote. Though I use Schoology on occasion, most references in Schoology will point you back to OneNote.

Everyone has access to the content library of OneNote via the link in the resources section on the right side of this page. In the content library, assignments and activities are sorted by week.

Parents may also access their own student's personal notebook. Students will email you the link to their notebook during the first five days of class. A student's notebook will be organized by topic and activity and will show you their progress in the course. I will host Teams meetings during the first weeks of the course for parents who are interested in learning how to access and navigate OneNote.
