Michael Kimmerly or "Mr. K.", as he is commonly known has been teaching Art for 25 years.  He has taught 3 Year old Montessori students all the way up to variety of ages at the University level. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Art History and Art Studio from the University of South Carolina, as well as a Masters Degree in Fine Arts from the Savannah College of Art and Design.  He has been voted Teacher of the Year at both of the Elementary Schools he has taught in. He also works with the Aiken Center for the Arts to help provide summer programs. Mr. K. also works as an Artist and has exhibited locally, as well as in Columbia, SC, Savannah, Georgia and London, England. 

Mr. K.'s Art Class is centered around facilitating as much creative choice as possible while achieving benchmarks outlined by State and National Standards for Visual Arts Education.
