• Car Line Procedures

    Transportation Reminders!

Below are a few reminders about our transportation procedures as well as information about the new dismissal system.

    Carline Arrival:

    • We have two lanes for morning drop off.  Additional support staff will be in the lot to manage the traffic and get students safely to the sidewalk.  Please follow any instructions given by school staff members.
    • Choose a lane upon entering the carline. Do not change lanes at any point unless told to do so by a staff member.
    • Have your student ready to exit on the passenger side of the car.
    • Please let your student out wherever you are stopped in the unloading zone between the breezeway and parking spaces. Do not wait to be first, as this slows the entire line.
    • Continue to observe the phone-free zone and follow the flow of traffic exiting.

    Carline Dismissal:

    • Choose a lane upon entering the carline.  Do not change lanes at any point unless told to do so by a staff member.
    • You will get two dismissal tags for your students with a numeric code.  This tag must be on the dash in your car.  If you do not have your tag, you will have to park and show your ID in the office to get your student.  If you need more than two car tags, please let us know and we will print more.  Only tags with the Chukker Creek logo will be accepted. This process will ensure the safety of all students and will help confirm they go home the correct way.
    • Once ALL the students are loaded, the staff member in the front of the carline will instruct cars to move.

    Attendance/Tardies/Late Pickups:

    • School starts at 7:30 am. The doors open at 7:00 am and we need to have students in class ready to learn no later than 7:30. Please get students to school on time each day.  Following the arrival procedures will assist with getting students into class quickly.
    • No early dismissal will be allowed after 2:00 pm.
    • Late Pickups- we start dismissal at 2:30 pm and strive to be completed by 3:00 pm.  Please be prepared to pick up your student at 2:30. Parents of students with multiple late pickups will be invited to an attendance meeting to discuss the late pickups and action steps moving forward.

    Other Reminders:

    • 4K through 2nd grade students must have an adult or older sibling present to be allowed to unload from the bus.
    • All transportation changes must be in writing or emailed to ChukkerAttendance@acpsd.net

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we continually work to ensure the safety of all of our students.  If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out at (803) 641-2474.

    Sincerely,

    Renee Bryant-Evans, Ed.D.
